The Hunt
At Pheasant Hunt Get-Away, hunters will find wild ringed-necks to rival the pheasant numbers of the famed Soil Bank days of the 1950s and '60s. Sportsmen can enjoy 3,200 acres of privately-owned land with a five-star pheasant habitat.
Our packages include
- Premium self-guided hunt: Hunt when and where you want, with exclusive access to our land. Three and four-day hunts are available.
- Wild birds: Hunt only native wild pheasants. No pen raised birds here!
- Lodging Our remodeled and fully furnished lodge comfortably sleeps 10.
- Special group rates We can accommodate groups of up to 10 people, with groups of 6 or more receiving the best rates.
- Exclusivity Choose the people you hunt and lodge with (groups of 7 or more receiving our best rate).
- Dog kennels We provide clean kennels and fresh water for your dogs.
- Field transportation We furnish all field transportation, with both a Ford F250 crew cab and a Kawasaki Mule available for use.
- Cleaning station Clean your birds in our heated, indoor cleaning station. We can also arrange bird cleaning services for a nominal fee.
- Sporting Clays Practice up on your shot before heading out with our sporting clay thrower. We provide the pigeons and a box of shotgun shells for each hunter, to make sure you're warmed up and prepared to tackle the fields.
- Campfire End the day around a roaring campfire, sharing stories from the fields.
Hunters supply their own South Dakota hunting licenses, gear, and supplies.
When you arrive, we'll help you get settled in the lodge, provide a map of the land and take you on a tour of the property. We can also offer suggestions on how best to hunt the land.
We not only assure excellent hunting, but we also make sure hunting areas are properly sized and the land is well-marked, dog kennels are neat and orderly, field transportation is reliable, meals are convenient and the lodge is comfortable.
We believe your pheasant hunt is as much about friendship and fellowship as it is the hunt. We value the importance of your privacy, and guarantee your pheasant hunting party exclusive rights to our land and the lodge during your hunt.
Additional Hunts
Our prime location in the prairie pothole region means our acreage is home to more than just wild pheasants. Guests with proper licensure are welcome to hunt the following as a bonus at no additional charge:
Grouse and Hungarian Partridge All hunters are welcome to shoot grouse and Hungarian partridge.
Waterfowl Guests may apply for a South Dakota waterfowl hunting license, and if selected, may also hunt ducks and geese on the property.
Whitetail deer Whitetail doe deer tags are readily available, and guests who stay with us during deer season are welcome to shoot a deer.
Fishing All of our guests are welcome to cast a line in our private, 55-acre lake, filled with walleye and perch.

Fully Guided Hunt An expert guide with trained dogs will lead your group to help you tackle the native roosters.
There is an additional charge of $300 per day for this service (can be split among the hunting party).
Semi-Guided Service An experienced hunter familiar with the land will accompany your group and offer tried-and-true hunting strategies for hunting the land. After all, he knows it best!
There is an additional fee of $150 per day for this service (can be split among the hunting party).
Corporate Hunts We will work with you to create a custom hunting package that meets your specific needs, from a self-guided hunt to an all-inclusive package.
