Habitat >> |
Pheasant Hunt Get-Away is privately
owned and operated. This way we provide ideal habitat for pheasants
to thrive.
We take care to provide nesting habitat to assure a successful
hatch along with cover, food and water for pheasant chicks to grow.
Finally, we have cattails, shrubs, tree belts and food plots to
assure winter survival.
The 3,200 acres of prime pheasant habitat consists of grass, alfalfa,
cattails, sweet clover, CRP, wetlands, weed patches, shrubs and
tree belts, abandoned railroad grade, dams, dugouts, creek bottom,
winter wheat, row crops, rolling prairie and food plots.
Our food plots are designed for pheasant hunting. We locate our food
plots in proven areas. The food plots are sized for pheasant hunters.
Half of our food plots are planted to milo. The remaining half are
planted to corn.
Pheasant Hunt Get-Away offers hunters a private hunting paradise.
The South Dakota state bird is actually the pheasant.
